I have personally taught the following subjects to K-12+ students over the past decade: SAT reading and writing, SAT grammar, GED Reasoning through Language Arts, GED Social Studies, TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, AP Language, AP Literature, AP Psychology, AP World History (and yes, I survived that transition into AP World History Modern — let’s just say it was… an interesting semester), AP European History, AP US History, AP US Government and Politics, AP Comparative Government and Politics, IB DP Theory of Knowledge, IB DP English Language and Literature, IB DP English Literature, IGCSE English Language, and IGCSE English Literature.
Teaching style
I genuinely believe that each student is unique, a world unto their own. Yet the beauty of standardized testing and common core education lies in the educational institutions’ ability to bring out the universal human that lies dormant within the child. Or something to that effect. All things in moderation, balance is key. I respect and admire my students more than they might realize. I also believe in rigorous discipline and a commitment to integrity. But a little affection and forgiveness can go a long way.
My own education history
History and Political Science BA., at UIC, was accredited in French Language and Civilization course at Sorbonne and spent a semester abroad at Sciences-Po. History MA. Currently working towards online TESOL while teaching at an international school.
